The Final Countdown

The Dilo Project student design competition is coming to a close. This marks the final week for each team to complete their design that meets today's student learners where they are through refining the library into the the Digital Innovation lounge. April 15 marks the last day to design, but each team will then have 2 weeks to prepare their presentations that will be given in front of a panel of judges made up of school and district representatives, community leaders, architects and designers. The idea is to make this experience as real-world as possible and because the project has been so relevant, the students have volunteered their own time to accomplish this task. Therefore, we will host an evening event to showcase the journey and the final visions and provide a platform that ultimately allows for authentic student voice and choice. It has been hard for me to stay out of the way during this process. Now I can't wait to see the results.
