Harry Stone's Advanced Tech Ambassadors Away...
Harry Stone has a class for Advanced Technology students who show an exceptional passion for all things digital. When we were able to put the Samsung pilot together, the excitement was crazy. We trained this group of 14 students first and they are currently the experts on the device and handle the majority of the peer teaching on how to use not only the tablet, but also the Samsung School platform, touch screen display and printer. Our main mission is to become innovative in how we use the devices involved in the pilot. Below, is what we have come up with so far.
Instagram ReporterOur Advanced Tech Ambassadors are responsible for Harry Stone's Instagram Page @harrystonema. ATA uses the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 to take pictures and videos to post directly online. Edited with PS Touch App | Harry Stone Morning NewsThe morning announcements will now be aired on Google+ Party. Students Newscasters use the 65" Display as the back drop for videos and images that will be shown during the broadcast. Anchors will prepare and read their prompts directly from the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablets and teachers and students are able to send in announcements and questions during the broadcast that ATA can access from the Google+ comment section on the tablets. | |

Bluetooth Video EditingThe Advanced Tech Ambassadors are crafting their video production skills. We decided to give the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 a try during the editing process. The native video editor was a good starting point. The video cameras we have a bluetooth capable and we were able to send videos shot in HD quality over to the tablet for editing. We are still working on finalizing the videos. | Screen Shot 2014-01-02 at 8.26.03 PM.png | PS TouchThe Advanced Tech Ambassadors are very keen on photography. Over the course of the year, they have learned to use PhotoShop to edited and fine tune their images. Since the introduction of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablets, ATA students prefer to use the PS Touch App to refine their work. Images can be shared via Samsung gallery, Google Drive or printed out directly from the tablet using Samsung Mobile Print. |
